This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Jimtech Enterprise Solutions collects through the Gradforth Africa app, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, password (hashed), and, for Google sign-in, your Google profile.
- Profile data: university, course, year, headline, bio, location, skills, projects, links you add.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, opportunities saved or applied to.
- Support data: messages you send us on WhatsApp or email.
2. How we use your data
- To run the Service and personalise your recommendations.
- To rank internships and gigs against your profile using our AI matcher.
- To generate a shareable public profile — only when you enable that setting.
- To verify payment and activate your paid access.
- To send transactional emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset).
- To improve the Service and prevent abuse.
3. Public profiles
If you set your profile to public, anyone with the link can view your name, headline, bio, skills, projects, and any links you added. Your email and phone are never shown on the public profile. You can switch your profile back to private at any time.
4. Sharing with third parties
We share limited data with:
- Our hosting and database provider (Lovable Cloud infrastructure).
- Google, when you sign in with Google.
- The Lovable AI Gateway (Google Gemini) for AI features such as the Career Coach and post drafting.
- Certification and course partners via referral links you click — only the click itself is shared.
We never sell your personal data.
5. Retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete your profile within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.
6. Your rights
You may:
- Access, correct, or delete your profile data at any time from your profile page.
- Withdraw consent to marketing communications.
- Request a copy of your data by emailing us.
- Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We check new passwords against known-breached password databases (Have I Been Pwned) to help you avoid weak choices. Database access is protected by row-level security so users can only see their own data.
